Wandering thoughts
For today’s blog post, I would like to try doing something different, a more free writing style about the past few months and mentioned a little bit about the current situation and what I hope for the near future.
Personal and growth in the past 3-4 months
These past months have been the most intense month career-wise of my life. Having my graduation right in the corner and working as a creative writer intern, keeping consistency and creating content for my blog, I’ve been busier than ever before and that’s a good thing for me.
When I don’t have much to do I start feeling a bit blue and staying at home watching series, one or two seasons a day kind of thing. One of the biggest reasons I started this blog, is because If I hadn’t anything to do I’d to create my own activities to keep myself busy.
Personally, I think that each one of you knows that one of my biggest passion is writing. I set a six months period to know if I could actually maintain a blog and believed or not I’m a couple of weeks away to reach that milestone. I can’t believe that this is my nº 17 blog post and I didn’t even notice it. For me, it looks like I just start writing a couple of weeks ago and as you all know when you have fun it feels like time goes quicker than you think.
Country-wise
I can’t talk about this 3-4 months without at least mention what is currently happening in my country, if you read my previous post Grounded Collective Hysteria, if you haven’t, go and check it out, so you have the context of the situation. There is a lot of chaos in the whole country. Everything is changing but no action has been taking by both sides, the people and the government, to begin a dialogue and bring peace to the country. The politicians need to stop talking and start listening to the people that elect them. Law enforcement must stop the brutality and abusing their power. The country including the government, the people that have sworn to protect us and the citizens of Chile must stop fighting among each other in order to build a better country as we are in the same boat. if it sank we are all going to drown.
From the moment I started residing in Toronto, I got so happy to be able to walk wherever I want without being afraid of being robbed, even though there are criminal activities in the city (especially drugs and hacking) and a lot of unstable people, it’s unlikely that something happens you as you have the choice to avoid certain places or take certain precautions and you can also see the police everywhere.
I’m going back to Chile in a couple of weeks and I will lie to you if I tell you I’m not terrified of what I will encounter there, especially going from Santiago to my city. I feel anger, sadness and I’m heartbroken about my country’s situation but I know that I can’t do a thing to fix it.
I can only pray for a better future.
What I hope for the future of this blog
My colleagues and I, we’ve started doing some interesting ways of creating content one of the most appealing ones, that I hope to incorporate is a podcast. The reason for this is that I can create an interview like section and talk about different topics with people and from those podcasts create blog posts. I think it could be an interesting thing to start, but I still need to figure a few things.
Even if I don’t think I’ll video record myself I might do some collaboration with some friends and colleagues.
As mentioned above, I’ll go back home for the holidays and probably I’ll stay in Chile for at least 3 months. I usually visit places with no internet connections and I don’t really know how my city is going to be like when I get there, so It will be a challenge to keep my consistency. I might write some posts and schedule them to be posted, but we’ll see. I’ll have a ton of free time to do it. I’ll keep you posted.
What I hope for my near future
The next time I fly from Chile to Canada it will be a totally new adventure. I’ll have to find a job, I hope in a creative writer area or a marketing/advertising agency, where I can create content for clients. I know that is a complex process to go through but I expect that it will be an expedited process for me (fingers crossed).
The future is unknown. I find that fact quite exciting and scary at the same time, the only thing that I know is that I’ll keep blogging no matter what.
I know that if I don’t have an internet connection I’ll find a solution to post something somehow.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s short post, I wish you all a happy weekend, best regards and write you next time 🙂
P.S: I’m opened to suggestions, tell me what kind of topic would you like me to write about, do you want to know something about Canada? Another recipe? Leave your suggestion below 🙂 ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
